Product
Business email on your own domain.
Mailboxes for your people, shared inboxes for the company, a web client and the same mail in Outlook, Apple Mail, Thunderbird and on the phone. Stored encrypted in Geneva, with one API for everything.
What is included
Mailboxes, shared inboxes, groups
With aliases, auto-replies, forwarding and rules on the server.
In every mail app
IMAP and SMTP, with automatic setup in Outlook, Thunderbird and Apple Mail and an app password per device.
The standards delivery needs
SPF, DKIM, DMARC and MTA-STS, with the DNS records EMX gives you.
Sealed mailboxes
Messages, with subject, sender and recipients, are stored on the server only as ciphertext for the person's key.
One API, signed webhooks
The API the web client itself uses, described in OpenAPI 3.1, and webhooks when a message arrives or cannot be delivered.
A spam filter in both directions
Executable attachments are refused, in archives too. What a person can send per hour and day is limited, so a stolen password does little harm.
Plans
EMX is for businesses, on every plan, and has no trial period. No VAT is charged; Krauss Software is not registered for VAT. The checkout shows what is charged before you pay.

For one person's business

Where the data is
Messages are stored encrypted in Geneva, the database in Frankfurt, its copies in Nuremberg and Paris. Our own servers deliver outgoing mail, unless you choose your own Resend account. For block lists EMX asks Spamhaus in the United Kingdom. Payment goes through Stripe.
Who sees which dataAn honest comparison
At CHF 4 a mailbox EMX is not the cheapest Swiss mail; Infomaniak and Hostpoint are. The comparison says where somebody else is the better choice.
To the comparisonWhat is missing
- No calendars and contacts, no Exchange ActiveSync.
- No scanning for known viruses yet.
- No app of its own for the phone; the phone's mail app works.
- Not an archive in the sense of the retention duty, no committed availability and no telephone support.
